Recommendations
-1 from Precalc teacher (Grade 11). Assumed to be pretty good. I did well in his class and discussed many things with him after-school and such. We have a pretty good relationship
-1 from AP Psych/ Global History teacher (Grade 9/11). Should be pretty good. He knows me extremely well and I have discussed plenty of stuff with him.
-1 from guidance counselor. Have no idea how this turned out. He knows me in terms of a person, but no in terms of my passions.

Any input?

1480/1600 SAT I is decent, and so are your SAT II scores and your AP scores. As long as your essays are good, you have a decent chance (well above average).

Any more input? Thanks IV.

Your scores are almost exactly like my daughter’s, except she has the AB/BC AP class junior year and got 5’s in both of those. She was admitted ED. I would suggest: spend a LOT of time on your essays - give them a window in to who you really are. Write about your interest in engineering with examples and experiences. Show your desire to be at Cornell - that won’t be as easy RD. Leave no stone unturned. Also - see that you need to put your full name and date of birth on top of your supplemental essay. Tend to ALL the details. Show them you cared enough to go the extra mile.

Thanks.
Also, Swimmer, did your daughter take Calculus 3 as a senior?

Any more input anyone?

competition among Asian males is tough. if you have the chance, bringing your SAT Math score up would probably be beneficial.
in my opinion, I think you should show dedication to the few clubs you are in, and make sure you spend a good amount of time on the engineering essay - I’ve heard that’s one of the most important aspects of the app for CoE
good luck!

i’d say, a bit tough :S
given your ethnicity and gender, you need to be a bit more sick on the stats ><

Bump.

I’m also wondering, does Cornell heavily weigh humanity classes when deciding for admissions in Engineering? Or do they mostly focus on Math/Science courses?
