Chances for Cornell, USC and others?

Ill make this brief:

GPA: 3.85 UW / 4.04 W (3.95 UMich)
Rank: Top ~7% (Class of 240, sends a number of kids to top schools)
State: Maine
APs: will have 6-7 by graduation

SAT: 1420/2200
SATII: 770 MathII, 720 Chemistry
ACT: 30 (12 w), most likely won't send

EC (brief overview)
Outdoor track and field (varsity) 3 years
Basketball (varsity) 3 years
Cross country (varsity) 1 year
Spanish club 2 years
Played guitar for 3 years
And I have a decent amount of work and community service hours

So that said, I'm applying for Engineering to all of these:
Cornell (ED)
Notre Dame (EA)
USC
Boston University
Northeastern
UMaine (safety)
UMich (EA)
Tufts

thanks!

first bump

last for today

last bump...anyone? :)

okay so your SAT score is over 2400 right? its kinda low if youre applying to cornell but i think youd do good for 2nd tier, honestly.

Cornell (ED)- match
Notre Dame (EA)-in
USC-match/slight reach
Boston University-in
Northeastern-in
UMaine (safety)-in
UMich (EA)- match
Tufts-??

do you really wanna do cornell ED? if you do, i think you'll get in and the rest of this won't matter.

Well, I don't think it's safe to say if an ivy, even if it is Cornell, is a match for anyone. It isn't Harvard, but it's still quite difficult. That said, I think you probably have an above average shot there.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty certain I want to do Cornell ED, overall it's just blown away all the schools I have visited thus far with its resources, engineering facilities, etc. Though like simpson said it is an ivy so I have to have contingency plans and I'd say I'd be happy at pretty much all those schools.

Anyway, would I have a decent shot at UCLA if I had a 3.92UW/4.3-4.4W UC GPA?

As a fellow Maine resident, I'm pretty sure you can get into all of those schools. For an extra step up, tell them your school/ house doesn't have running water.

Cornell (ED)--Slight Reach (engineering)
Notre Dame (EA)--Match (engineering)
USC--Match (engineering)
Boston University--Safe Match
Northeastern--Safety to Safe Match
UMaine--Agree, safety
UMich (EA)--Match
Tufts--Slight Reach
