Work. I work at a laboratory year round conducting molecular biology research, will have research published but after decisions are out,
So the reason why I personally think I have a good shot at Cornell is that during the summer I actually work for Cornell at one of their camps. I teach biology and ecology there.
I am from New York and I am white so that makes it harder
My recommendations were good, my bio teacher who wrote one is a cals alumni
So do I actually have a good shot at Cornell? I now feel its my best fit out of where I applied
I applied to most of the ivies beside Dartmouth Brown and Columbia, I applied to johns hopkins, uchicago, uc berkeley, caltech and then umass amherst and u miami for safety
don’t mind my grammar, I am no english professional.
Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I think you will have a pretty good shot at Cornell just based on your ACT score and your GPA. It is a little difficult to tell if your GPA is a strong part of your application without some background into the rigor of your highschool, but I would imagine it’s fine based on the other colleges you’ve been recommended. You’re extracurriculars look strong, if maybe a little too academic-based – but again, that is probably fine. I would say you have a moderately high chance of acceptance.
