Actually, 640 is my final score for Literature. I know it’s not very competitive, but hey, it’s just one SAT II–not a rejection letter.

Please people. I would really love some feedback.

you have a decent shot but with schools like cornell your never sure. chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1033113-chance-me-ill-chance-you-back.html

A 640 is not a rejection letter but it could lead to one at a very competitive school. You SAT I and GPA are solid, hopefully you can get that score raised to around a 700. Knowing your class rank or decile would sure help gauge your chances…

I’ll bite.
SO your sat 1 is high, definitely won’t keep you out of Cornell. You have several leadership positions and they seem to be focused which is nice. I don’t see anything that is a deal breaker. I think your high CR scores makes up for your lower lit score. You’re obviously smart, something just happened with that test. BUT I don’t think it’s a deal breaker.

I do have a couple of questions.
How much time do you spend a week on extracurriculars? You noted that your school doesn’t offer a lot of AP’S. What kind of school do you go too? Do a lot of grads go to top schools. How competitive is your school? Is it public or private?

Who is writing your recommendation? How do you know this teacher and for how long? In what context do they know you (in the classroom, outside the classroom, both)?

How do you fare within the context of your school (are you one of the top students) ? Do you have a rank? Percentile?

How many students do you think will apply to Cornell from you school and how do they compare to you?

I think answering those questions will help people give you more feedback.

BUT honestly, no one really knows. The essays and the recs are a really big factor. If they’re truly “outstanding” then that would greatly increase your chances.

anywho GOOD LUCK :)

chances are looking pretty slim…sorry bro
