Chances for Dartmouth ED and other schools!

Hi. I'm a rising senior from NJ and am curious of my chances at:
- Dartmouth (ED)
- Princeton (legacy)
- Cornell (legacy)
- Brown
- Middlebury
- Amherst
- Williams
- Colby
- Bates
- Hamilton
- Tufts
- St. Lawrence

I have a 3.91 GPA at my school (no rank - prob somewhere around top 10%).
ACT: 32 (34 E, 34 W, 30 M, 28 S)
SAT: 2220 (730 V, 700 M, 790 W)
SAT II: World History - 760, Math IIC - 730, Bio - 700

I have taken 3 APs (2 5s and 1 4) and am taking another 5 this year. I have founded my own non-profit that has raised over $11,000, and am the president of 3 other high school clubs. I also play sports and the trumpet, and sit on 3 national service boards. I have won over $10,000 in scholarships/grant competitions. What do you think my chances are? Do you think I should take the SAT again this weekend?

I would retake the SAT IF you're ready and have studied a lot since the last time. A 2220 is good, but a better score (+ 80 points, especially on M+V) would really help you. Really really help.

anyone else?

idk, i feel his SAT is fine, just focus on your grades this year.

I agree. Your SAT scores are awesome. I wouldn't bother.

I think you have a great chance. You aren't sending that ACT too are you? Your SAT is a better score. Oh, and I wouldn't bother retaking it.

Your SAT's are sortof low, the "2200" is skewed and looks more impressive than it really is because of the super elite writing score, but the M+CR is only a 1430 which is low in comparison to the percentiles for those schools. If you can raise it, I'd said retake it, otherwise your in the lower decile of applicants academically, and since you have no rank, they will place more weight on your SAT as your GPA then begins to lose significance as they cant see if the GPA is due to easy teachers @ ur school in general.

So I'd say in your case, retake your SAT and focus on the M+CR, try to imrpove it to a 1500 or so and you're a perfect match.

bump bump bump
