<p>Would some of you reply re: daughter's chance a Vassar?</p>
<p>SAT: 740m; 660cr; 620w; 2020
GPA 3.6 uw; 4.0w
Honors courses in: English (2 years), math (4 years), science, French, History
AP courses include US History; World History; Physics Mechanics; Physics Electricity and Magnetism; Calculus BC
Honors electives in electives in science and history
Very rigorous high school
Awards etc. Mensa, National Society High School Scholars, rowing awards, guard and band awards (as member or soloist), Duke TAG program
ECs Women's rowing teams -2yrs (Canada in summers; our state during year) bronze medal/third place wins in mixed 4s and 8s; marching band and color guard (4 yrs); captain flag; winter guard (2years); concert and symphonic bands (4 years); school club president; very active in ASPCA type club and related community service events; youth group at church, other to include work</p>
<p>Essay for Vassar was about her desire to combine her passion for physics (her desired major) while being able to particpate in the arts. She sent in a sample of a math project and 2 photos: one of her in costume for a Carmina Burana performance, the other her in the water training two dolphins while at DRI's camp one year. She also loves history so included that as a second choice of a major.</p>
<p>Her recs were strong to very strong (but don't really know as we did not read them!?)... 3 recs from physics, math and history teachers... </p>
<p>Any comments would be great. </p>
