<p>Hi, at the moment I'm a junior looking to get into Drexel for Computer Science/Game Development (minor in creative writing).</p>

<p>My stats:</p>

<p>Freshman Year (Omitting Gym):

<p>GPA: 87</p>

<p>Sophomore Year (Omitting Gym):

Health: 96
Global 2 History H: 85
Living Environment H: 90
Italian 2: 80</p>

<p>GPA: 90
GPA (Omitting Health): 89</p>

<p>Junior Year (Omitting Gym, Assuming Grades):
American Civ (Soc) H: 85
American Civ (Eng) H: 87

Computer Science AP: 97</p>

<p>GPA: 87</p>

<p>Total GPA: 88 (Possibly 87 depending on how I finish Junior year)
Total GPA Weighted (Assuming H counts as .5 and AP counts as 1): 94-95</p>

<p>SAT:</p>

<p>Math: 670 Reading: 540 Writing: 510 Composite: 1720/2400, 1210/1600 (Retaking the SAT this June) </p>

<p>Computer Science AP: 5 (Assuming, I should do very well considering how I've been doing in class)</p>

<p>Next year I'll be taking AP Stat, AP Calc, AP Psych, and everything else Honors.</p>

<p>I have 200+ community service hours. I have the office position technician at a program called YADAC, that meets every Friday to plan days where we host events for children.</p>

<p>Teacher Recommendations:</p>

<p>I'll have a very strong recommendation from my English teacher (Junior year) who believes I should seriously pursue a career in creative writing (which I'd love too, however; I want to apply that creative writing to games, which is why I plan to minor instead of major.)</p>

<p>I'll also have a very strong recommendation from my Computer Science AP teacher.</p>

<p>I have not written my college essay yet but I plan to write about my experiences in the DAV team back when the ipod jailbreak scene was new. Essentially we created apps using a runtime that allowed us to code in javascript. I figured this would be a strong subject for a college essay (considering my major) as it will talk about teamwork and cooperation.</p>

<p>I am currently studying C++ on my own at the moment and plan to be fluent in all things basic by the end of summer (including GUI development).</p>

<p>Don’t know much about Drexel, so take this with a grain of salt, but I think you have a shot at getting accepted. Your gpa and SAT’s are about average, so it’s kind of a toss up… Show your passion for CP though; I’m sure it’d help :)</p>

<p>I think if I converted my GPA properly (assuming that >90 is 4, <80 is 3, and assuming that 88 for example does not count as a 3.5), I have a 3.254 </p>

<p>Intro to java and health were half semester classes.</p>

<p>If I end up getting >1900 on my retake SAT, what should I assume as far as an increase in chances go?</p>

<p>Actually, I checked and your gpa is slightly love than average for Drexel. If you were to get a 1900+, that’d put you above their average… So definitely shoot for that score… (of course, the higher the better)</p>

<p>You have an okay shot now, but get your SAT up to at least the 1800-1850 range and you will have a good chance. Your GPA is only slightly below average for drexel but EC’s and everything else will be average or better.</p>

<p>The only SAT II subject test I’ve taken is the Bio E one, and scored a 680. Should I send this?</p>
