If you are not in one of those groups, being accepted outside of the top 10% of your high school would take something extraordinary.</p>
<p>Even as a legacy (it’s unclear if you have a parent that attended which would make you one) they want top 10%. A family friend, rejected ED, got that from an adcom this year. Of course if members of your family are significant donors, exceptions are made and you’ll be considered a development candidate.</p>
