Chances for EA at Georgetown?

I'm applying to six or seven schools, but Georgetown is definitely my first choice. I'm going to apply to SFS; if I get in, I'll probably major in International Politics. I'd like to hear what you guys think, and thanks in advance!

Recommendations: I have a feeling they'll be good, if not great

PS: Regarding letters of recommendation - Georgetown doesn't allow them to be submitted online, right?

okay I’ll chance back :)

bump

10char

I think you definitely have a solid shot. A 36 on your ACT is really impressive, and your EC’s aren’t as bad as you think. But yeah, your test scores are pretty great so I think you have a really good chance at getting in.

I think you have a pretty good shot. Do you know your class rank/percentile?

Officially, my high school doesn’t rank students. However, we can check our grades/GPA/etc. online. When I logged on to check my GPA for college apps, though, my class rank was there! They took it down after a couple of weeks, but I now know I’m in the top 10%.

I think you have more than a decent shot. If i had to put money on it, I’d say you were in off your ACT scores and GPA. Looking at the early action threads from last year you have an excellent shot.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the comments.

Really, a 36 on your ACT and 4.0 unweighted and you are asking? You could not have done anything better including your EC’s. Relax, if you don’t get it, it wasn’t meant to be. You will find the perfect home/school for you. My guess is your biggest dilema will be chosing amongst a great selection of schools. My son is also applying and he has similar stats (well a 35 act), and with all these type schools it really is somewhat of a crap shoot. There will be something that sparks their interest about you and that’s the school that accepts you. Georgetown was my D’s #1, and in the end ended up at Northwestern, - loves it and now she couldn’t imagine herself at any other school. Good luck to you. You have worked very hard to get where you are…

I agree with SDmom2.
YOu’ll do great: probably at GU, but if not, somewhere as good or even better.
Good luck!

Thank you both for the comments! I definitely feel more at ease after hearing those.

36 ACT and top 10% is plenty. I would say youre most likely in
