Chances for EA?

Hey guys, so BC is by far my #1 choice. I’ve been dreaming about going there for years, and from the moment I visited, I fell in love. However, my confidence has been shattered following a deferral from Northeastern. I know it’s a bit of a reach due to my scores and a lot of the admission process is random, but I was just wondering if you guys had any insight on my chances??

Female from FL applying for a Political Science Major
GPA- 4.0/4.0 UW and 4.26/4.0 W
Rank- 6/83 (Top 10%)

SAT- 1930 (Here in lies what I believe to be my weakest link  700 CR 630 M 600 W)

AP’s- AP US Govt., AP Calculus AB, AP Lang., AP Macro, AP Psych, AP World History, AP Environmental, and AP Lit (5 of these are being taken my senior year)
**My school doesn’t offer many AP’s and have just recently added a bunch this year (I go to a small, private school) However, I elected to take 2 online AP classes and have taken all of the AP’s and Honors offered at my school except for APUSH (which didn’t fit into my schedule)

Recs- I’m assuming they were pretty good. I had one written by my math teacher that I’ve had for 3 years and my world history teacher who loves me
Counselor- I’d assume it was a little more than generic b/c we have a pretty good relationship and she knows me

Essays- I think they were pretty decent/strong; my supplemental was a little on the unique side and I feel as though they will either like my creativity or … yeahhh… I’m just hoping they liked it lol

EC-
NHS (Historian and ran for VP)
Tutor for 2 years
Debate Club
Editor of School Newspaper (3 years)
Yearbook Staff
Founder of a community service club at my school (now the largest club we have and my friend and I run the entire club)
Decent Community Service (local food bank, organized toy drives and charity fundraisers)
Martial Arts for 4 years (Recommended Black Belt)

Thanks so much! I love the BC community that I’ve found here on CC  Everyone is so nice. Any insight would be appreciated and I’ll chance back if you want me to…

@alliecat33 I’ve applied EA too so I may have no idea what im talking about whatsoever, but I think you’ll get in. Your’e SAT is around the mid 50% so I dont think you have to worry about it; plus with your community service stuff I think it will help too! Also I think they will like that you showed initiative and a passion for learning by taking AP classes online.

Thanks @Sullivan7! I appreciate your response. This process is so nerve-racking. Even though a deferral is better than a flat out rejection, I’m hoping for an acceptance fingers crossed. Good luck to you as well!! Hopefully we will both hear back from BC soon.
