Hi I am a high school junior from a public high school in California(ranked in top #250 in us news high school rankings). I have about a 3.8 uw and a 4.1 w gpa. My ec’s are 250+ hours volunteering at a hospital(working with sick children), I was on the jv golf team for 1 year and on the varsity team for two years now. Also, I have spoke on JDRF’s children’s congress at the white house to raise more money for type 1 diabetes and have mentored a type 1 Diabetic for 2 1/2 years also through JDRF Mentor Program. I have been in the girl up club for 3 years and I also have about 100 hours of my part-time job. I have a 2100 sat and 29 act. I plan on majoring in liberal arts. What do you think my chances are of getting into cal poly SLO early decision?

Liberal Arts has a pretty high admission rate above 50%. With your current GPA and test scores, you have a good chance. At the end of your Junior year, calculate your CSU GPA and repost with any updates. So far, so good.
ECs mean virtually nothing at CPO by the way. The CP admissions person told us they say it is 10% but it is probably less than half of that. You just check a box on how many hours of extra stuff you do a week. At some schools, ECs are a big deal, not this one. For CP, scores and rigorous classes are the big thing, acceptance is by computer, versus someone looking at your app, just fyi. I would think you should be solid for liberal arts but always have back-ups, any college acceptance is a crap shoot these days!
I got in to the College of Liberal Arts with a weighted 3.94 GPA and ACT 29. Extra curriculars are basically irrelevant in the application process for any CSU. CLA has pretty low admissions standards in comparison to the other colleges (except for CAFES) so you should be fine.
“Cal Poly SLO will use 9th grades also in the calculation.”
This is false. All CSU’s only take your 10th, 11th, and 12th grade grades into consideration.
