I want to focus on Economics and I believe I've shown my level of passion and commitment for the concept.
I live in California.

definitely a great chance with those focused ECs, maybe try to up the SAT by 100-200 points.

Just out of curiosity, how did you get that internship at the Gremman Bank (I’m assuming this is the Nobel Prize Bank you were referring to)?

First off, the college of Letters and Science doesn’t consider your intended major. So your chances for econ are the same as your chances for bio or history or poli sci.

Second, if you get admitted to UCLA then for economics your major will be listed as pre-econ. You’re not actually admitted into econ until sometime around the end of your sophmore or early junior year, when you’ve finished the pre-reqs.

I suggest you spend time reading thru the websites for the admissions office and the econ undergrad program. You’ll find lots of useful info.

yay for econ dedication!

Good chance if you communicate your passion and work hard.

Being Bengali, my relatives have a business relationship with people in the bank…I’m very lucky :)

+1 to mikemac
