Chances for ED! (a little late I know)

<p>Hey I know it's a little late but I'd love to get some feedback. What do you think my chances are for Columbia ED?</p>

<p>SAT: 2200 (750 V, 730 M, 720 W)
SAT II: US History 790, Math 750
Rank: School doesn't rank but somewhere in the top 5 out of 300
GPA: 4.3 (weighted)
Town/Gender/Race: New Canaan, Connecticut (affluent, suburban)/female/white</p>

<p>E.C's: Girl Scout, Newspaper Editor, President of Math Honor Society, Secretary of Key Club, Varsity Fencing, Play the Bassoon</p>

<p>Awards: National Merit Semifinalist, AP Scholar, Columbia Book Award, Rotary Club Youth Award, Girl Scout Gold Award</p>

<p>Hook: Received Girl Scout Gold Award (highest honor in Girl Scouting) by setting up a program to collect used school supplies and sending it to children in Ethopia. The program entailed collecting and sending thousands of items and going to local middle schools and talking to kids about my project. Also, pretty good enough at the bassoon (good enough to be in their orchestra and it's an instrument that many schools need).</p>

<p>Senior-
AP Physics- A-
AP Chemistry- A+
AP Government- A+
AP Literature- A</p>

<p>Junior-
AP Statistics-A
AP BC Calc- A-
AP US History- A+</p>

<p>Other than that and before that it's all honors courses (my school doesn't offer AP's until junior year). Also, this isn't the hardest course load possible at my school but it's pretty close (the school isn't great on AP's)</p>

<p>Also
Essays: Pretty good about how I saved my Dad's live and how it made me realize I wanted to be a doctor</p>

<p>Recomendations: I didn't read them but I'm sure two are amazing and the other one is pretty good.</p>

<p>You're clearly a strong applicant. You're SATS are on par, your rank/GPA is above average, you've got demanding classes, and you've got strong ecs. But there are many Columbia applicants with similar numbers and strong ecs. With you, I'd say this is going to come down to essays and recs. GOOD LUCK!</p>
