<p>Brother, you did the best you could so just leave it up the the rice officials. We can’t accurately gauge what they’re thinking. My personal take: damn, another applicant who has better academics than I do :P. If your essays are solid then I’m sure your chances are higher than the norm.</p>

<p>Thanks for the replys! I’m also looking for some comparable backup schools, any ideas? I realize Rice is one of a kind, but can you think of any smaller schools with great academics?</p>
