Chances for ED/Legacy? Columbia SEAS

<p>Hi. I was wondering how much of an advantage being a Legacy Student and applying Early Decision to the Columbia School of Engineering and Applied Science would help.</p>

<p>I have a 4.5 gpa in all honors/ap classes and have done summer research with professors at NYU, amongst a list of other things I am too tired to write about (I included the previous sentence to eliminate the need of answering the statement, "Well If you dont have good grades its not going to help much being a legacy/applying ED").</p>

<p>Mainly, I was wondering how much applying: ED and being a Legacy would help. Any ideas?</p>

<p>Being a legacy gives you the most advantage when you apply ED</p>

<p>You definitely have a decent chance. If you live close to NYC, do SHP next year and get a decent 2000+ SAT score and I’d say your in.</p>
