<p>ECs: Supervisor at local fast food restaurant (30ish hours per week), Model UN, Key Club, NHS, Ski Club. Volunteered for Obama in 2008 and plan to in 2012. Around 200 hours of community service.<br>
Summer: Really cool exchange program with a group called EmpowerPeace out of Boston (probably topic for Common App essay)</p>

<p>Recs: 1 from Penn Alum (does this count for anything?)-11th grade AP Lang teacher. Debating between Precalc teacher or AP Chem teacher for the other. Counselor rec probably very generic (4 counselors for 3000+ students...)</p>

<p>Hook: lowish income (50,000)? Underrepresented part of Rust Belt PA?</p>

<p>Really in love with Wharton and want to apply ED, but I'm somewhat conflicted between that and SEAS. I'm interested in Engineering but also love economics. Any suggestions?</p>

<p>You have nothing business related? So that probably means low shot at wharton, and I’m gonna say a decent shot at SEAS</p>

<p>Update: I was accepted into SEAS ED… just wanted to let other worried applicants know that they can be accepted without winning any science competitions or having great EC’s in the field. I assume my essay was the reason why I was accepted.</p>
