I'm interested in business and finance, How do you guys think my shot is for ED?? Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch!

I'm sure others will say no way, but I think you look very good for ED. Regular decision is a crapshoot, so if you really think Cornell is the school for you, then do ED. Start developing a contact in the admissions office so they see that you really want to go there.

By contact, do you mean call the office and set up an interview or tour? What else can I say to develop a contact and show commitment to the admissions office? (I really wanna go here!)

Your stats look pretty good, EC's are alright, but it worries me that you're from new jersey..I feel like tons of people apply from there and you'll have competition with the really intense kids I see posting with a million EC's.

I don't recommend you to retake just to boost your SAT score. Cornell won't notice a difference between 680 and 700. You're in great shape now. Spend your time on something else.

Do u guys realy think that this guy has such a great chance. I'm not trying to hijack this thread or brag but my scores ar considerably higher, GPA is a little higher, i think i have better ec's and im from NY and my conselour said that AEM was a a reach and crapshoot even if i apply ED. She even said that my chances were the same if i applied early to wharton but i know thats a lie.

Anyway, so are the above posters correct or is my conselour because from what ive seen/read i woudl have thought that he had only like a 25-30% chance but it seems like im mistaken. Anyone?

AEM is the hardest major to get into for Cornell, and I kinda agree with the guy above me. The OP doesn't show much passion for business, and his stats and ECs are unspectacular. It would definitely be a reach regardless of ED if he's doing AEM. For CAS Econ, it'd still be a reach, but he'd have a higher chance I guess
