pretty good essay... you can pm if you want to read it. About my best friend's suicide in my freshmen year and how it affected me, how i changed, how i am better off now than before

If you need any other information feel free to ask. Thanks.

Your GPA and ranking are good. Test scores are on the low side; a 30 ACT is roughly a 2000-2100 SAT, on the lower range of Columbia’s averages.

Extra-curriculars are a little scattered, but good overall.

I think big factors here will be your course-load [if you haven’t taken the toughest classes you can in school, that will be a strike against you] and essays. I don’t know much about the essay [I’m trying to write mine, currently] but it sounds like that the sort of thing that could really work if handled well and be dangerous if not, just as a word of caution.

So I’m not going to chance you, since the numbers are basically arbitrary anyway. Do I bet you’ll get in just looking at your numbers/resume alone? Not really. But if you can flesh out the person behind them I certainly think you’ve got a shot!

alright. thanks for you input! I believe I am on the toughest schedule ( i’ve taken every ap class except ap music theory and stats… if stats is even considered an ap class lol! ) also, i accidentally put 2 years instead of 4 for math team if that makes any difference.

hate to do this, but bump

You realy want to race your standardized testing scores! Other than that, you seem like a qualified applicant! Your ec’s are a tad too spread out, however. Feel free to PM me your essay if you want me to reveiw it!

alright i’ll pm it to you
