Chances for ED?

<p>I love Columbia, especially with its resources,CORE, and the PHYSICS DEPT!!! Brian Greene teaches there, and I really want to meet him and hopefully work for him. :)</p>

<p>Can you please rate my chances?</p>

<p>GPA 4.0 UW, 4.67 weighted (top 5%) of class; hardest possible workload (11AP's plus college classes)</p>

<p>SAT old 1500 720 V, 780 M new (practice) = 2350ish</p>

<p>SATII's Physics 770, Writing 770, IIC 790, BIology, 770, US History 760</p>

<p>AP's all 5's on Statistics, Euro, US History, English Language, Physics C Mech, BC Calculus, Biology</p>

<p>Recent Awards:
I guess AP Scholar with distinctions? AMC school awards, orchestra awards, wrestling awards, other math contest awards, etc...</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars:</p>

<p>Wrestling (one of my passions). I'm not good enough to become a state champ or anything, but I have medals and the JROB Shirt, for those who know about that camp

<p>Contrary to what people think, I love English, especially reading. That's why i want to go to Columbia! I picked up writing this summer, and it's been fun too. I'm not really good at it, but it's getting better. </p>

<p>Chances look good, although I don't understand why you're applying ED if you have financial problems... You don't have much leverage with fin.aid if you're ED.</p>

<p>I agree with cannednish, your stats look competitive for both ED and RD, however if you apply ED you are likely to be stuck with a less favorable financial package (having no chance to compare with other schools) especially with your family being middle class (lower class wouldnt really need to worry since their EFC is low doesnt matter how you calcualte it)</p>
