Teacher RECS:
My teacher recs should be very good. They were from Wash U and Harvard .

And have 3 college credit hours for Saint Louis University

I also got invited to a Computer Science/Programming conference in UC Berkeley

I think my chances of getting into Emory are low, but can you still chance me?

Um anyone??

I’d say you have a good shot.

Reach for now, better odds if you can do early. If your counselor and/or school report notes the distribution of scores and how “hard” it is to do well, you may have better chances. Otherwise, you look like a slacker, no matter how much effort spent, no matter how much sleep lost.
Your ACTs would be much better with a 30ish science section; a 2000 is a tad low for Emory IIRC. Nice ECs, btw. Should help you with most schools you consider.

See how it all works out in the end. Good luck in the meanwhile!

PS: Chance back?

Emory values student interest, just like a certain top ranked phenomenal school in STL. My son got into Emory with an ACT of 30 (they do not superscore) and WUSTL, but chose WUSTL and is thrilled that he did. Make your essays count, and your GC will need to put your low GPA into context with how other students do. Good luck.

I will probably apply Early Action. And yea, my college counselor does send out letters telling about our low gpa in context to how other students do as well as how hard the school is compared to others in the area.
Thanks

Early action probably will help… Best of luck. You have a good chance

It’s a low reach for EA. But you do have a chance. Write great essays and find any way you can to improve your application to make up for the low GPA

BTW, Emory has 2 ED programs, but not EA.

ok, I think im doing the Early Decision II

Emory really values student interest. A lot of my friends got in with much lower stats than yours, but they visited, emailed, and called several times. I think you have a very good shot EA

Thanks for the reply :)

EDII better demonstrates interest than any emails, campus visits, etc.

You have a good shot, they look at you as a whole rather than grades
