Admissions for engineering will look closely at the quality and grades of classes you have taken. For example, did you take Physics, Chemistry, Calculus and were these at least at the honors level?

I believe you have a good chance for regular decision. The grades you received in chemistry/physics/calculus will
be key. If you are female, I would be very confident that you would be accepted. In the essays, be sure to address why you want to attend Va Tech versus the other other options you have.
