Chances for engineering at Rutgers

Hey, I'm a white male, NJ resident. I think Rutgers is a match-school for me, but I'm looking for some other opinions.

My gpa is an 89-90 right now, which is probably a 3.4, but I'm not sure.

SATs are currently 1200 (570 math, 630 verbal). I only took them once and plan on taking them again in October to improve the math.

I have few ECs, but play 2 sports every year, orchestra, and a lot of community service. I also take rigorous AP classes (English, History, Chem, and Physics).

Do you guys think I have a good chance of getting into the engineering program at Rutgers?

So, what do you guys think?

Your in highschool right? You have to worry about your undergrad before worrying about engineering school. Just pick a major you like in engineering and get good grades in those classes. Then when the time has come, you will go to grad school.

Engineering at Rutgers is a school, the School of Engineering, not just an undergraduate major. I'm not even sure you can major in engineering if you are not in the School of Engineering. Also, in most areas of engineering, a graduate degree isn't necessary.

I never said graduate degree. I meant can I get into Rutgers engineering undergrad with the info I provided.

Yea I think you should be alright...Just try to pull up that SAT score a bit, just to be safe.

Bumping this to get more replies. I'm thinking of applying ONLY to Rutgers, so I really need to know my realistic chances.

Don't apply only to Rutgers. You need a safety. Your stats are too close to call.

if you're in the top 50% of your class, you'll get in.
