Test scores are reasonable - within the right range for ED, a little bit on the low side for RD. I’m unsure of how many of those APs you’ve already finished, but some 4s and 5s would help.
GPA sounds fine, as long as it’s in the top 10% of your class, top 5% would be ideal. ECs look good.
Overall, you’re probably in the right range for ED, but not a lock. Might a little bit tougher in the RD round, where your numbers aren’t quite as competitive, but you’re still very close to where you should be.
Unfortunately, all we can tell you from a CC post is if you’re generally in the right range, which you are. You’re not an automatic admit, but you certainly have a shot.
@Sanfran49cisco Just for curiousity sake, why do you have AP Chem with a B weighted and an A unweighted? I haven’t heard of that before. I have heard of kids getting, for example, an A - and then 4.0 points under the unweighted scale and 5.0 on a weighted scale. Thanks for any information.
For Vanderbilt, isnt ED binding though? Currently im in the top 15% but hopefully that will change after this semester. Thanks for the input!
ED is binding but the chances are a little bit better - about double the admit rate. If you can push your grades by the end of the semester to break into the top 10%, that would definitely help you out and be worth doing.
Thank you! Vanderbilt isn’t my first choice so I wouldn’t have done ED anyway but I certainly will try to get in the top 10%!
