Chances for Engineering Schools?

Asian male from Florida, I don't have any real hooks but I do have somewhat of an upward trend.

GPA (uw): 3.5
SAT (superscore): 710 M, 670 CR, 640 W
AP classes: 8 (including senior yr courses)
Essays: been told to be pretty good
Recs are also decent.

Schools:

Case Western (EA)
WPI ( EA)
Northeastern (EA)
VT
UIUC
UF
FSU
UCF

Thanks :)

Do you know your UF wGPA? add 0.5 points for honor classes, 1.0 points for AP/DE/IB/AICE classes. If your wGPA is 4.2 or better, then you’re a match at UF.

FSU =match, UCF=Safety

UIUC selectivity is based on the college. For example, for Engineering the middle 50% had a 1370 - 1490 SAT (M +CR only), and where in the top 92% - 99% of class. On the other hand, Fine and Applied Arts (FAA) had a 1180 - 1350 SAT and where in the top 75% - 95% of class.

Good Luck!

My school is a “feeder” for UF and my weighted is 4.4 is that’s good news :)

You have a strong chance at northeastern. but the others I have no idea.

Sure, 4.4 puts you in the middle 50% (near the top of the range).

Northeastern is a reach, UF is a low reach, but all other schools are matches or safeties.
