Chances for ENGINEERING

I would appreciate it if you could give me some chances. Im a high school junior looking to apply to Carnegie Mellon for engineering (undecided between mechanical or chemical at this point). Here are my stats:

UW GPA: 4.0
W GPA: 4.25 (highest possible in my school)
Class Rank: T-1/450
ACT: 30 on practice test, with practice should be a 32 or 33
SAT: not sending

I am taking 6 ap's (maximum at my school):
AP English
AP Chemistry
AP Calculus AB
AP US History
AP Environmental Science
AP Physics

Extra Curriculars (weak) upon completion:

300+ hours volunteering at summer camp for mentally disabled kids
4 years of Key Club, many activities
4 years of academic team
2 years of NHS
2 year of track, junior and senior year
Internship at Grameen Bank (2006 nobel prize winners) in Bangladesh
Internship at Brac Bank in Bangladesh dealing with microloans
Summer "research" project tracking turtles

Thanks in advance

Nice looking list ;). But it never hurst hurt to improve on test scores.

If you go the ACT route, make sure you sign up for the optional Writing section.

By all means, read up on the criteria for Writing section scoring. I let my son “wing it” on the ACT the first time junior year, and although other sections were great the Writing score was unusually low. (He is a fine writer and has since scored 800 on SAT writing with only a little bit of essay practice.) Part of the problem is that only the best students opt for ACT writing, so % gets skewed. But I think also ACT looks for particular things on scoring. I’m sure you can find more details on the ACT website.
