Credentials:

-All A student

  • I do a ton of community service (1-4 hours a week)

  • AP math
  • Will be in AP literature next year (only offered for 8th grade)
  • 94th percentile in IOWA assessments (I know it doesn't matter, but do you know whether it correlates to the SSAT)
  • White (I don't think it matters, but I saw it on other posts)
  • 1/3 or less FA

Let me know what you think and please tell me what more I could do to be admitted

Just a tip: Never say what your name is in CC, even if it is only your first name. It kind of destroys your anonymous identity on CollegeConfidential…

Asking for FA as a white applicant anyplace other than Andover I am told can have an impact on your chances. I’d be curious to hear others’ thoughts on that too.

@divdad yes unfortunately requesting FA regardless of race will place you in a more competitive applicant pool. This is because many of the prep schools haven’t reached high enough endowments and scholarship funds to offer blind admissions.
