Any chance for merit money or financial aid?

Can't say anything about need-based aid because I don't know your financial situation. She's definitely in, possibly with merit money. BU has been quirky about that recently. Her math ACT is very high-- what's her potential major?

my stats were close but not as good and i received the dean's scholarship which is $10,000 a year. i also have a friend, who went to my highschool, and had almost identical stats to me, and got the university scholarship, which is half tuition. it all depends, but i would assume that there would be some kind of merit aid.

Hi MNTT,

Financial Aid is dependent on your financial situation. Some schools, I think, do adjust the number based on available funds and the applicant's strength. If your daughter does receive a good need-based package, she may not qualify for merit scholarships; I think I read somewhere that these awards are for students who don't qualify for aid (I received a good need-based package but no merit). All this said, my gut says that your daughter's in the running for merit aid (I lived in the Honors Dorm my first and last year at BU and almost all my housemates had half-tuition scholarships; their stats were similar to those listed here).
