Hey all,
I know FGCU isn't that difficult to get into.. but it's close to home and I'd really like to get in there. Should get a decision soon. I'm planning on majoring in journalism/communications. My math grades haven't been hot but I'm hoping they don't weigh that too heavily for a writing based major. I'm also applying at FAU (probably equal the chance of FGCU) and UCF (a stretch but might as well try).

November '09 SATs:
Critical Reading: 570
Writing: 560
Math: 380
Just took the January SAT. Reading/writing should be much better, hoping the math goes up. I've read that FGCU's minimum math SAT is 440 so I'm not sure if I get automatically rejected for the one I have.. I hope not.

GPA: 3.20
Class rank is 216/486
Current classes:
Composition II (dual credit) (Got an A last semester in Comp I)
French II (B+ last semester)
Journalism (A last semester)
Marine Biology (New course this semester.. expecting a high A)
Digital Design (A last semester)
Economics (A in Government last semester)

I've gotten mostly A's and B's my whole time in high school, except for in math (my struggle, C average). I've taken Honors English, and Honors World/American history with A's and B's.

I've gotten accepted to St. Leo and Johnson and Wales but I want to go the public route.

Any insight would be appreciated ;)
