Chances for Fu Foundation Engineering at Columbia?

My GPA is pretty weak compared to many others applying to Ivies, it's a 94.8 unweighted and 107.5 weighted. However, I am graduating either first or second in my high school class. I want to major in Mechanical Engineering, but I'm concerned that when Columbia sees that my average in AP Physics was only an 89, AP Statistics was 89, AP Chemistry was 93, my chances of acceptance become very small. I think that if I were applying as a science major instead of an engineering major, my chances would be pretty fair, but that is not the case.

Other stats:

SAT Reading: 690
SAT Math: 760
SAT Writing: 770
(taking the SAT one more time in the fall)

SAT II Chemistry: 800
SAT II Physics: 790
SAT II US History: 800
SAT II Math I: 730

Columbia Honors Science Program, 2013-2014
National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar, class of 2014

bumpppppppppp

bumppppppppppp

Math I ???
Math II is a lot easier to get 800.

Columbia: Mid to High reach

Columbia Fu: Reach

Is the Math I a low score?

Well its a harsher curve. But taking Math 1 is inferior to taking Math 2. “All” Schools will prefer a math 2. I’m not sure whether you can characterize it as low.

I know a 4 Ivy/Ivylike (Brown, Yale, Cornell , Columbia) accepted applicant that had a 680 in Math 1 and a 780 in Math 2.

low reach, id say
