Essays:
Deals with tough life circumstances and improvement. My grades reflect this, as fresh year had 3.3 GPA and Junior year 4.0.

Reccommendations:
One teacher known me for four years(yearbook adviser), other for five(ASB adviser). Counselor is a G, she said she would be as sad as I if I didn't get into Brown.

You should have no trouble getting into all the UCs. . Besides, Ive heard UCs love a good essay. Ive seen people with not great grades get into UCs because of great essays. Yeah, but I have no idea about Brown.

In at: UCSC, UCSB, UCI, UCSD, UMich
No at: Brown (sorry bud)
Unsure: UCLA, UCB

Also, what’s your class ranking? That could help in deciding for UCLA and UCB. Also, Ivy admissions are highly unpredictable, so who knows, you might get in at Brown. It’s just my prediction otherwise…

You look good for all the UC’s but why do you see them as more fun? I have no personal experience, but my nephew who went to UCLA and his friends talk about a huge bureaucracy where it’s hard to get classes, difficult to get to know profs and TA’s can’t speak English.

Thanks guys! Also does anyone have any recommendations on where else to apply? I can apply to approx. two more schools. Also, my grandparents said they can help me with tuition if I attend an ivy league ahaha. So does anyone know any schools that I have an alright shot at?

i dont see why you couldnt get into Brown…im really not just tryingt o be optimistic…i know ppl who got in with those stats. If your essays blew them away…then who knows!
