Chances for Georgetown, Tufts, NYU... (I chance back)?

<p>The colleges I'm considering are Georgetown, NYU (and NYU Stern), GWU, Tufts, Northeastern, and DePaul (as a safety).
(I am planning on going into Economics/Public Policy/Business)</p>

<p>Stats:
3.8 weighted GPA (one bad semester w/ family reasons)
(unweighted is lower but not calculated yet in the 3.2-3.6 range)
All Honors/AP classes
10 AP's by graduation
4s and 5s on the AP exams taken thus far
32 on ACT, 11 on writing
730 on SAT II US History w/ 2 more coming</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Debate- Leadership positions 3 yrs including captain, state championships and various awards
Model U.N.- leadership position and award
Founded local Young Democrats chapter and Political Awareness Organization in my school
Relay for Life- Team Captain and award winner
Newspaper- News Editor
First Class Leader - Select Leader
Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society
Participated with school radio station and literary magazine</p>

<p>Other:
Job since sophomore year
2 yrs of weekly volunteering at local crisis center charity
Internship with local congressman for 2012 election</p>

<p>Impressive resume! I would consider throwing in some other top schools if I were you. You have a good balance.</p>

<p>I’d say that Georgetown and Tufts are a pretty high reach for you, mostly because of your GPA.
NYU is a bit of a reach.
Northeastern you’ve got a decent shot at.
The others you should be fine at.</p>

<p>You look like a pretty decent applicant, but your GPA is a bit low for the upper schools.</p>
