Chances for Georgetown?

Public high school in south Jersey
Mother is a registered nurse at the HUP and NYU grad. Father is a civil engineer at the DOT in NYC and a CUNY and University of Miami grad.
I have 3 younger siblings that I’ve invested a majority of my time into.</p>

GPA: 4.51 Weighted
Rank: 3/130
Junior Year: AP Bio (4)
Senior Year: AP English, AP Chemistry (school only offers 6 APs)
SAT: 800 Critical Reading, 720 Writing (12 essay), 640 Math
SAT 2: 730 Literature, 670 Biology E, 590 U.S. History If I take Math 2 in January I'm sure I'll score above a 640</p>

<p>Good afternoon! You seem to have a solid application with a great rank and good leadership positions. I do not like your SAT2 US score, but seeing as you’re a senior, it’s a bit late to do anything about it. However, colleges love first-generation URMs, and you fit that picture perfectly. You also have obvious strengths in writing. While I would not recommend having included GYLC on your application (the nomination process is way less selective than people think for CYLC events, as amazing as they are), I don’t think that it will hinder you. I’d call Georgetown a low reach. Good luck!</p>

<p>I think you’re in. Not too many URM’s with profiles like yours. Math SAT will hurt, but won’t kill you.
How can you be first gen yet child of an NYU grad?</p>
