I attend high school in North Carolina and have just finished applying to a dozen or so schools and want some feedback on my chances at Georgia Tech and Notre Dame. My school is relatively large with about 250 students graduating this June. I am ranked 5th of this class with a weighted GPA of 4.7135 and unweighted of 3.7969 as of the end of my junior year. My senior schedule is Engineering Design and Development, English 4, Physics, AP Art History(yearlong), AP Calculus BC (yearlong), and AP English Lit & Comp. Previous to this year I have taken 3 AP's; English Lang and Comp., US History, and Calculus AB. Through Rochester Institute of Technology, I have amassed 8 credit hours in engineering. My best ACT scores are; composite is a 27, Math 33, Science 26, Reading 27, English 22, combined E&R 22.
My EC's are;
4 years of baseball, Pitcher and 1st baseman (very competitive, contend for State Championship every year),
4 years of Engineering Club and Skills USA,
Volunteering at the local Air Force Base,
Habitat for Humanity,
Meals on Wheels,
Math and science tutor,
Coached Little League baseball teams for 2 years,
and helping out at my old middle school (Catholic) with special events and fund raisers.

My Ec's aren't impressive, but there's good reason for it. My dad (Air Force Colonel) has been deployed constantly over the past 3.5 years and we only get to see him about 4 or 5 times a year. He is almost done with a 2 year stint in South Korea (June). In his absence from home, I have had to pick up the slack around the house which includes taking my little siblings to and from school and their extracurricular activities when my mom is working. Thanks in advance.
