any feedback would be great:)

Very low chance at Brown–not trying to discourage you, but you how schools like Brown are. Many of their admissions spots are already claimed by hooks and legacy, so to be one of those few regular students who gets admitted, you have to be beyond exceptional.

My high school is a magnet governor’s school for math and science on a college campus. The school has about 50 graduates from eight different counties around our part of the state. Only 2% of regional students are accepted to the school, so it’s pretty competitive. We had a student apply to Brown last year who was the Salutatorian with a 4.0 un-weighted and something like a 4.5 or 4.6 weighted. Her SAT was well beyond a 2200+ and she was wait-listed. She didn’t get in until the last minute. She was borderline.

Anyway, you stand a great chance at George Washington. Good GPA, class rank, solid ECs, and not a bad ACT–you are in their range. Keep in mind that George Washington would like to see subject tests, but they don’t play too big of a role there. Your musical theatre resume should probably counteract some of the lesser parts of your application.

Your SAT score is not competitive for Brown:

GW looks more promising!

I think you may have a shot considering that you are hispanic and your work in theater makes your resume stand out.

Thanks, guys. I know my chances at brown our slim…but i figured i’d give it shot! Strangely the acceptance rate of ACTs between 29-32 are nearly the same as 26-28. Ivies can be rather random. Would appreciate any more feedback:).
