<p>Got an email from my regional admissions director. If anyone hasn’t gotten an Id yet it’s just because of the sheer volume of applications. He gave me my id though so its all set. Let the waiting game begin!</p>

<p>I’ve never posted on here before but I saw that you can post your stats and people will tell you your chances. So here goes:
I applied Early Decision II to George Washington University and it is definitely my first choice! I applied to the Elliott School of International Affairs as an International Relations major.
In my opinion, my essays were pretty convincing (argumetation IS my strong suit haha) and I REALLY expressed how much I wanted to go there.</p>
<p>GPA: My school does it on a 12 point unweighted/15 point weighted, but it translates to a 4.3 weighted GPA</p>
<p>Class Rank: I go to a REALLY competitive public school, but I’m in the top 10% (Rank: 73 out of a class of 765)</p>
<p>ACT: I took it once and got a 31</p>
<p>SAT: 2140 (750 R, 670 M, 720 W)</p>
<p>ECs & Community Service: Over 180 hours of mentoring children at my old elementary school, member of student council for 2 years and many hours of community service from that, President of Spanish National Honor Society, member of National Honor Society, member of Presidents Council, member of Friends of Rachel club- 2 years, Homecoming Committee for two years, member of Spanish club- 2 years, member of Psychology club-1 year, choir member- 2 years, volunteer at Red Cross Blood Drive for two years, helped raise money for Pasta for Patients campaign (leukemia) [wow, I sound like a pompous a** haha]</p>
<p>Awards/Honors: National Merit Commended Scholar, National Honor Society, Spanish NHS, Science NHS (idk if these count as awards or ECs), AP Scholar</p>
<p>Hooks: white, middle/upper-middle class female
The only “hook” I can think of is that I am a first-generation college student and my mom is a single mother</p>
<p>I am STRESSING out because I got denied from Northwestern early decision (<em>sigh</em>) and I REALLY want to go to GW. These last two or so weeks are going to drive me crazy.</p>

<p>I applied to ED II and just want to know my standings. I applied for a Chem major. I’ll prob end up double majoring in a political science though. </p>
