I’ll probably study math or engineering (dunno which type.)

If you’re considering engineering, Caltech, Harvey Mudd, and UC Berkeley also have great programs. I would replace Yale, UChicago, and Vanderbilt with the ones I listed above.

Thanks! I agree those are great for engineering and I actually still have those all on my list, I just wanted to provide only a few schools (I still have, like, 25 on my list… haha).

Dang, scores, grades plus good (not amazing, I guess, but good) E.C.s, and you’re from Alabama. Not going to assign percents, but GREAT chances everywhere. If you’re set on Engineering though, poster above is right. Caltech might not have same lay prestige but where it matters it gets tons of recognition. Good luck :)

Wow haha, you’ll definitely get into to most, if not all lol.

you look pretty good just about everywhere…

Dude ur sat is perfect and gpa is flawless. I think u should be a definite competitor for all these schools although with these schools it’s never guaranteed. Keep up the good work. Uc Berkeley is basically in with those stats so good luck.

Harvard- reach
MIT- reach
Princeton- reach
Stanford- reach
Columbia- reach
UChicago- low reach
Vanderbilt- in
Georgia Tech- match/ very low reach
Auburn- in

Just a note: Personally I consider everyone (unless double legacy donors) to be reaches for all the Ivys + MIT and Stanford.

@kevsvineyard
Well, yeah, but that doesn’t mean some people don’t have better shots than most. OP has a better shot than most at all schools.

How is Georgia tech a “low reach” (it’s actually almost a safety) and Vanderbilt is an “in”?

Vanderbilt is a low reach school.

Oops, I thought that said Villanova instead. Sorry. If Vanderbilt then yes, low reach. I still think GT is a match/low reach.
