Plz come and elucidate asap.

Ummm... why do you need chances ASAP?

Your resume looks great, stats look awesome. If you're applying RD, write killer essays and get good recommendations. If you're applying SCEA, you've already submitted your stuff, so it's too late to be stressing over your chances. For what it's worth, you do have good "chances". But no one here can tell you whether you'll get in or not! Try not to worry too much, and good luck with your application.

It's all very well and good putting down expected SAT scores from past papers... but it's very different in the testing room. I don't really understand what you're saying about your IB grades. Your actualy grades wont come out until after you have applied, unless this is some sort of predicted grades. Anyway, you language ability is excellent and this will be of interest to adcoms. Are you in your first year of IB?

yeah your stuff looks good. If your SAT scores are actually as good as you say they are, you should have a great shot. You seem like an interesting person for Harvard to add to their class.

wow sorry I don't know how that got posted 4 times.

I Posted it many times and in different college forums cuz i wanna see how people that aim at diffrent unis view it and get a better perspective of my shots at all good colleges. But i am mainly interested into Harvard, duh!!!!!

debate_addict: I'm pretty sure thefishofsorts was referring to the fact that the stuff in post #4 was posted 4 times. It has since been deleted.

lol, thanx for the elucidation mary...

You never mentioned what year you were. If you're a senior applying now, it's kinda late to take the SATs and all three SAT IIs, isn't it?

i am not in my senior year. I am a sophomore. And of course it would be late, were i to take the SATs now, But i am a sophomore. So i have "plenty" of time.

I'd be extremely impressed if you got your expected SAT scores. You seem very bright though, good luck with the next two years until you apply!

Wow you really shouldn't be worrying about this stuff as a sophmore.. but your CV looks great

wowww sophomore!? It's a little too early to be this serious in the app process...^^:

You're a sophomore?

Why are you asking for chances "Asap"? That's a little rude, actually- it's saying that satisfying your curiosity about your chances at Harvard is more important than any other one of the chances threads on this forum. It's particularly strange since you have very little data to go on (you're guessing every single one of your scores, and some of your extracurriculars take place before you entered high school). So really, what does this thread mean? Why do you care about your chances so much this early on, why are you asking about them now when you don't really have that much information, and why do you want them "asap"?

Seriously, you shouldn't start thinking about college for AT LEAST another year. You're in high school, dammit, enjoy it!

Haha debate_addict I read your post on the Princeton board. Clearly you have nothing to feel desperate about, you have two more years chill.... I can't believe you already took your SATs.

Cookiemunster- actually, he didn't take the tests yet, he's just predicting his scores.

Well people, and particularly Admiral, time is sth that i cannot afford. I have taked my PSATs so my SAT1 scores are not hypothetical. As far as my SAT2 scores is concerned, in chem and in german, because i am IB, it is almost definite that i will get over 750. Plus, i believe that the sooner i start getting prepped, the better for me. And if sb wants to be a show off and is not in for the serious part of it (Admiral), plz get a grip....
The rest who just wanna help, u r more than welcome.

"I have taked my PSATs so my SAT1 scores are not hypothetical."

The PSAT's did not accurately predict my score.

but they do, actually. Plus in my school, we have a tradition with PSATs and SATs. We always take them both, and then our councelors guide us according to our results. Plus, it hasnt got anything to do with me, that u didnt do as well on ur PSATs compared to when u actually took the test. And as far as the asap thing is concerned, try posting a thread with title Chances and see for yourselves. There is no way people will correspond to what i am saying. U either have to add like a dozen exclamation points, or make a statement, such as "ok, i give in", etc.

I JUST WANNA LEArN ABOUT MY CHANCES FROM PEOPLE WHO CAN ACTUALLY HELP, SO IF U R NOT ONE OF THEM AND U R HERE JUST TO SHOW OFF, BUZZ OFF.
To all the rest who are helpful, thank u all.:)

And people, bear in mind that i am applying early action, so i have less than a year.If i dont start getting ready now, then i might as well be rejected.
