I'm ridiculously nervous :S
Harvard is my first choice and my dream school. I've been dying to go there for years. Do I have a chance REA? Please chance me! i'm legitimately freaking out :s

Oh, and I volunteered for the mayoral election in LA and I’m currently working on the Obama campaign helping people register to vote.
I’m a URM by the way.
there’s more too, but i can’t think of anything right now.
I know I’ve done a lot, but I don’t know if it’s good enough! please chance me!!

What kind of URM? If you’re just hispanic you’ll probably be rejected.

50% Hispanic, 50% Kenyan. I wish my parents were more diverse :(

Yep, that’s not good enough. I’m afraid you might have to settle for somewhere terrible, like Princeton or Columbia.

Anything I can do to make up for it?

You could raise that ACT score, 360 isn’t even close to middle 50th percentile at those schools…it burns the eyes

Try seeing if you can retake the AP Spanish test and get it scored a 5 before Harvard’s Early Action deadline. That miiight help.

I feel asleep during the test because I had been up for 30+ hours as my mom was in the hospital going through chemotherapy. I plan to write about it in my essay. Should I retake the test this year?

Yes, but I repeat, you MUST get it rescored before Harvard’s Early Action deadline. If you do not apply early action, your chances are 0. Zilch. Admissions reps won’t even read your application; they’ll think a ■■■■■ produced it.

Is it possible to retake an AP test now? Or did I blow it?

Oh god
You got a 360 in the ACT?
Damn.
That’s terrible.
Harvard is a high reach for you.

Maybe volunteer for Mitt Romney?
Harvard loves him

Typo! Though I wish
Good one, but I’d rather not get into Harvard than volunteer for Mitt!
is Harvard really a high reach? :(

If you get in, the affirmative action haters will get very rabid.

That is how terrible your chances are. Your mom’s cancer is no excuse.

Harvard is a reach for anyone who applies. But in your case, it’s definitely less of a reach. You look very strong on paper. If your essays show that you’re a unique and passionate person, you definitely have a good shot.

trolololol

lol rapfan I think you’re being trolled by econfan

no one could look at your app and say that

so much ■■■■■

Yes, that is quite terrible of you, econ. Here on CC, we value candid, authentic evaluation of applicants’ chances. Heck, these guesses are arbitrary enough. We don’t need trolls in this part of the internet to make things worse. Head over to reddit.

^Hahah, I at least appreciate your sincerity.
