Chances for Harvard, Yale, and Princeton

All,

My goal is to study mechanical engineering or aerospace and mechanical in Princeton's case. I applied REA to Stanford, got rejected (of course) and am applying to Harvard (hehe), Yale, Princeton, Purdue, Cal Poly, UCLA and UC Berkeley. Obviously not all of those schools have AE so I might go with Mechanical at those who don't. Already into some safeties like Purdue,Texas A&M and CU-Boulder... here's what I have to work with:

Taken 19 "weighted classes"; 4's on AP Calc AB, AP LANG, and AP US; in AP STATS, AP LIT, AP CHEM, and AP GOV this year. Taken engineering courses all 4 years of HS.

My biggest concern is the SAT I score and the low SAT II's for Chem and US. I'm studying my butt off to improve CR on the SAT I that I'll take in January but luckily I didn't send SAT's to Harvard besides the subject tests. Any other areas that are strong/ need improvement?

Thanks for input!

All three (HYP) are extremely selective schools, and I think you already know that.

I would say a reach for all three – as it is for most people. You can’t improve anything much at this point in time, so just focus on your essays!

Like d1v1ness said, HYP are reaches for almost everyone (I wish I had that GPA though). Don’t worry about it right now. Just make sure your essays are well done and you’ve presented yourself in the best possible way on your applications.

You look like a pretty solid applicant with a lot of experience in your intended major but you should focus on your math sat if you’re applying for engineering. These schools are reaches for everyone like it has been said before, but good luck. Chance me back!
