Any more opinions?

Guys? :)

your test scores and academics will definitely be the best things going for you
i agree with the previous posts. you are a competitive applicant so things can really go either way. I think that the only thing that may work against you is your ec list. you do show commitment to the activities you have, but there isnt too large of a variety (relatively speaking-in comparison with some other applicants). that being said, I would really work on those essays because they will help you stand out from the other academically excellent applicants you’re going up against.

I would say that harvard, yale, brown and amherst will be crapshoots (like they are for any qualified applicants). you have a pretty good chance at wellesley, tufts, and bc so you can consider those high match to low reach schools.

chance me back? thanks in advance http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1530985-chance-me-yale-williams-amherst-please.html

chinadoll2010: Thanks! I chanced you back.

Bumpers! :D

Bump bump bump

Anyone else?

Anyone? Anything?

Especially as a legacy from some of those schools and living close to the area, you have pretty good chances! But it is true that the Ivies are crapshoots and Amherst is kinda the best liberal arts school…but overall, great application! :)

Harvard- high reach
Yale- high reach
Brown- high reach
Amherst- reach
Wellesley- high match
Tufts- match
BC- safety

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1540541-what-my-chances-cornell-ill-chance-you-back-if-youd-like.html

^Thanks so much! :o

You have awesome stats and you are definitely in position however Harvard and Yale are reaches for everyone. So here goes
Harvard and Yale: Reach
Amherst and Brown: Low Reach
Wellsley, BC, and tufts: Low Match

all reaches except bc

Like many people have posted, these top schools will be a reach for any applicant. However, you’re in a great place stats-wise. Don’t worry about the AP tests, the colleges are aware of each school’s policy.

For the teacher’s rec, you don’t need to explain how your A- was due to a personal event. If it was a C- on the hand, then yes!

Your ECs match up nicely with your intended majors and shows passion. Along with legacy, I think your chances Harvard SCEA is one of the best I’ve seen. With that said, you’ve got as good as a shot as other super competitive applicant for all the other schools!

I appreciate the feedback guys!

Harvard-reach
Yale-reach
Brown - match
Amherst, Tufts - high match
Wellesley-safetey
BC - low match

^Well, I’m not sure Brown is a match, but thanks! :D

You seem really qualified. Your academics are great, your awards are really good. Yet your volunteer work doesn’t seem above par. I would mainly focus on the volunteer work. Overall, you’ll definitely get accepted into 2-3 of those schools!

Hmm I think you’ve got a pretty good chance. Your stats are all great, but I don’t really see anything amazing in the ECs not gonna lie. It’ll probably come down to your essays, so make sure to take a risk with them. Don’t miss an opportunity to make yourself unique since your ECs aren’t bad but definitely not “OUTSTANDING” when you’re going up against kids applying to Harvard.

I think you have a good shot at Brown and Amherst. Harvard / yale are crap shoots for everyone… Wellesley and Tufts I would be surprised if you weren’t admitted to at least one if not both of them.

Good Luck!

Basically, it comes down to your essays. Your academics and ECs are very good. Since you seem pretty confident about your writing skills, I think you have quite a good chance. And you have legacy! Best of luck!

Thank you so much everyone!
