Hi! Thanks so much for spending your time to chance me :)
I'm currently a junior and already nervous about the college process. What do you think my chances are for Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Stanford, JHU, and Swarthmore?

I am mostly concerned about my lack of awards and community service. Plus, I don't think my ECs really stand out. Again, thanks for chancing me!

Trust, me you’ll get ivy or a very good school atleast. whats your prospective major?

Also will you chance me?

I’m undecided right now and I just chanced you :)

Harvard-reach, Yale-reach, Columbia-reach, Stanford-reach, JHU-match, and Swarthmore-match
Just curious…are you going to send in your class rank?

My school doesn’t send rank, so I don’t think that’s an option. I would if I could though!

Harvard: Reach
Yale: Reach
Stanford: Reach
Swarthmore: Reach
JHU: Decent chances

Thanks for the chance :)

bumpp bumpp bumpp

second subject test?

haven’t taken another - will take math 2 and probably us history

If you are serious about getting into these schools, it’s never too early to start drafting your essays! You have a resume that has gotten into every one of those schools hundreds, if not thousands of times. Best of luck.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1603454-chance-me-bunch-engineering-schools-make-predictions-too.html?highlight=chance+me+for+engineering+schools+predict</a></p>

I would recommend getting a couple of more subject tests done and with higher scores. I don’t know how much it helps but if you could add two 800s on your application then you’d be that more attractive. the last step to get admitted into one of your schools is making sure your essays stand out. Your grades and sat score are unbeaten (congratulations) but your essays might be. So please don’t overlook them and focus on writing well and conveying yourself. Also it might be too late but if you could do something unique and interesting in ECs then that would make your chances rise.

Honestly it would be really hard for Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and Stanford all to deny you. What hasn’t helped is that you’re Asian and haven’t taken too many APs. Your school isn’t too competitive either. But that 2400 and number one rank is scary. How do you compare to your sister? Congrats to her.

It’d be sweet if you could chance back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1601346-hyps-mit-wharton-chances.html</a></p>

oh youre a junior haha my bad… but yea i think you have a quality chance… especially harvard… sibling legacy + a 4.0 and a 2400… seems pretty enticing to me if i was an admission officer.

As far as I know, sibling legacies don’t really mean anything (maybe it’s different for Harvard, but I think it’s true for in general).

Also your app better be more impressive than whatever your sibling submitted because the competition has grown exponentially in the number of years between your graduation and your sibling’s.

You’ll get in somewhere good regardless so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

EDIT: don’t be worried about your ECs not being unique. Just make them unique to you and you should be fine.

They are all reaches but your best shot is probably at JHU. It will mostly depend on your essays and letter of rec. I could see you getting into Harvard with legacy. But you do have impressive ECs. If you don’t get in to these places part of it will likely be due to how they want to build their class. Relax. You will get into a great school. Good luck!

For those asking about my sibling, she graduated from hs 4 yrs ago second in her class and was co-editor in chief of our hs newspaper which is nationally acclaimed and she won a few local poetry awards. I think her ec’s are probably stronger than mine but my grades and scores are better. Although she was accepted to Harvard, she was rejected from Yale and Princeton and wait listed at brown and uchicago. This could be partially explained by the fact that her graduating class had a lot of legacies to these schools and our hs is small so the Ivies don’t like taking too many from us. (4 went to Yale from her class)

Bumpppppppppp

Harvard reach
stanford reach
yale reach
swarthmore reach
JHU high match/low reach

Bump again lol

Oh! I also forgot to say that I skipped first grade and am the youngest in my class if that helps
