Chances for Harvard?

Last year 4 Asian males (3 friends and I) applied to Harvard. Three were from my HS (elite HS) and the other was from nearby HS. We all had 2350+ and 35+ and multiple 800s on SAT IIs and UWGPA 3.96+ (I was the one with 3.96 and three others had 4.0 UWGPA)

One of us had a national recognition and 2400 SAT. I had 2380 SAT and 800-800-(800)-780 SAT II and 35 ACT. I also thought I had decent ECs and decent awards (AIME and regional math contests and community service award etc.) We were also NMF (not a big deal).
On March 30th of 2011, we were shut out from HYPSM, Cal Tech and Columbia while others (Whites and Asian females) made Stanford, Princeton and Columbia and so on.

I am not telling you this to scare you. It is the harsh reality that we Asian males have to face in elite college admissions. Do your best and see what happens. Also, be prepared for some bad news. AND, make sure to apply to many top colleges. In the end you will have many great choices.

Harvard is a reach college for everybody but I hope you make it.
Good luck to you.
