Also, any suggestions on good safety-ish schools?

Very good stats and passion demonstrated through EC’s. Good chances at the top schools. UVA and UT are safeties but you could look into schools like Notre Dame and JHU as safeties (JHU semi-safety).

Chance me back?

oh, also:
I work 10 hours a week at an art house movie theatre
and…
National French Honor Society

Very good chances everywhere, and you have some good safeties too.

Chance me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/989869-chance-me-please-black-urm-aiming-high.html#post1065520981

^Agreed. I wouldn’t waste your EA on Georgetown; you’d probably get in with as a regular applicant. Yes, the competition for Yale is definitely tough, but with your numbers and resume, you would be one of the most competitive applicants.

You definitely have a great shot at all of your schools but sometimes the ivies can be a bit unpredictable with so many competitve applicants. You unquestionably have a great shot tho! if you want more saftey-ish schools maybe look into ChicagoU, UMichigan, or UNC Chapel Hill. Good Luck! and please chance me back
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/990297-chances-i-promise-ill-chance-back.html

Agreed with Soccer on the unpredictableness with ivies^^
Very good stats, you’re overall a very rounded person, not even that, upper well-rounded! Haha, you’ll get into anything with what you have really!

Chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/990183-do-i-have-shot-any-these.html

Wow! You have amazing stats! I think you have a really good shot at all the schools you posted though I’ve heard that Ivies constantly reject perfectly qualified applicants. However, your interest in art and French most likely will set you apart and you’re bound to get into at least one of your top choices.

I’m also an aspiring artist who hopes to attend either Cornell’s B.Architecture program or Yale class of 13!

Would you mind giving me some advice? I just started taking AP Art and all this other art related stuff this year and I’m so jealous of all your art and French related stuff ;)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/982753-help-ambitious-asian-who-wants-go-cornell.html

What school in Texas do you attend? I thought my school was one of the largest with a senior class of ~900, but 1350 is ridiculous.

wow. you sound perfect thats scary. i mean i dont know how you could really beat that…

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/990498-i-wanna-go-college-yep-thatd-great.html

hahah thanks. however, I promise you it looks WAY more impressive on paper than it is in real life. I’m such a slacker ha

Wow. you have GREAT stats. All those schools are so unpredictable, but I think you definitely have a shot.

mid-reach for HYS, low-reach for Penn, Brown, match everywhere else

I’m seeing a 1520 and not very top of class as making HYSB, with under 10 percent admit rates, as being very tough. Once past there I see good chances.

Lol I laughed when I read your third line, as a few hours before you I posted the exact same question.

Have you been to both campuses and sat in on classes? Per a suggestion of a friend (who no doubt at this point is probably wishing neither had early action programs), I’ve written out exactly why I want to go to either campus and the drawbacks of each campus. Can’t say I’m any closer to a decision, but maybe it will help you :)

It’d be hard. Your GPA is not very impressive. And your EC isn’t all that outstanding either. But i still think you have a decent shot. Probably at least one of the top schools

You have a chance at all the ivies, but as I’m sure you know it’s a crapshoot. I’d say basically in at everything below the ivies, although I’ve seen some highly qualified applicants like you get rejected from Williams and Swarthmore as well. Like I said, it’s a crapshoot. But I’m sure you’ll get in to at least a handful of your list

Good luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/996568-chance-ib-full-dip-brown-vassar-swarthmore-other-lacs.html#post1065579843

Whoa. You dont need a chance thread. You’ve gotta a BRILLIANT shot at all the top colleges!
Best of luck!

BTW what French Immersion program did you attend?

I wish I could be like you! haha  I think you’ll probably get in just about anywhere!

Please chance me too!
