Hi guys! New here (member, been lurking for quite some time) and I was looking to get some input for my chances at USC, Honors College. I am currently a senior at a charter school in NC. Here are my stats:

NC Resident
First Generation College Student
4.85 GPA (W)
3.9 GPA (UW)
33 ACT

I have taken 7 (max) classes per year (only 6 this year) and all core classes have been at Honors or AP level. All level three and above Fine Arts and Foreign Language were also at a Honors level (Currently in Spanish 5 and Art 4). Will have taken 5 AP classes by graduation (max is 6).

Member of NHS, National Spanish HS, National Art HS and Mu Theta Alpha. Vice President of NAHS. Also active in several clubs throughout HS, including being President of Impact club (faith based club) and VP last year. Member of Marching band for 3 years (no longer option at our school), two in Color Guard and one in Percussion. Varsity Cheerleader this year as well.

Outside of school, I have logged over 300 service hours, including 125 in the medical field.

They were supposed to go out the week of December 15th, however they are working ahead of schedule and have already sent out around 50% of the EA decisions (per Twitter and Tumblr). Mine came today! Thanks so much!

Congratulations! Some Honors acceptances go out in December- last year it was about a week after the Dec. 15th acceptances… but some also don’t go out till February. I mentioned on another post that we were told last year that the candidates who received acceptances in December were the ones being considered for the Top Scholars scholarships too.

I think you have a pretty good chance at honors college. Just know if you’re applying for international business, they only accept about 25 into honors college so its really competitive. If not, i think you’re guaranteed in. If not you’ll definitely get into Capstone, which I’m in, and that is a great program!
