Overall, the ACT seems to be around 29 on the website for honors admission, but is it safe to say I'll be notified with my stats? I hope so! :( I'm nervous! lol

GPA and test scores are a very large factor in determining invites to the Honors program. However, you can appeal if you don’t get invited; many kids who get into FSU Honors don’t even end up going to FSU, so there will inevitably be extra spots open. They’ll take a second look at your application, so if you get turned down the first time don’t lose hope! :)

I feel like there’s a good chance you’ll get in, but even if you don’t you can apply your first semester to become laterally admitted. All you have to do is submit an application that you can find online (contact information, what classes you’re taking, and a very short essay on why you want to be admitted) and try to get all As the first semester (or at least above a 3.8 GPA, which is the average that they admit. I got laterally admitted with a 3.84 this semester). A lot of students get admitted that way, and as of the following Spring semester you will be an Honors student!

You can wait and do lateral admission to be admitted spring 2012 or petition this spring and be admitted before fall 2011. I don’t see why you wouldn’t get in that way. You have solid stats.
