Chances for honors program???

Straight up, I'd take U of Miami any day over UConn. Problem is that UConn (oos) offered me a place in their honors program and a $40,000 scholarship. Basically my question is: am I likely to get a similar offer from Miami?

SAT I: 790 CR, 670 M, 750 W
SAT II: 790 US, 760 World, 750 Bio
GPA: 3.8 weighted (good grade trend though 3.5, 3.6, 4.3, 4.5)
Class Rank: 18/199

I'm not so much worried about the merit aid as I am about the honors program... Think I'll get in??? Thanks.

I think you are definitely going to get a merit scholarship, anywhere between 1/3 and 3/4 tuition (39,853-89,670). As for the honors program, it depends like the scholarships. You have the potential to get in, because the requirements aren't set in stone, but your class rank isn't top 5%.

Honors criteria: A minimum SAT of 1360 or ACT of 31 or better and ranked in the top 5% of your high school graduating class is required. Note that minimum criteria are guidelines and that students meeting them are not guaranteed entrance into the General Honors Program.

1/3 tuition: Top 10% class rank, A average, 1300 SAT I or 30 ACT
1/2 tuition: Top 7% class rank, A average, 1350 SAT I or 31 ACT
3/4 tuition: Top 5% class rank, A average, 1400 SAT I or 32 ACT
