I will also work in a hotel this august

my sister attends CAS at cornell

chances, suggestions?

Pretty good chance. Whatever you do, follow through and don't drop that hotel job that you mentioned starting August. The more experience there, the better so that you can extensively talk about it in your interview

how about a face picture? that always makes or breaks you ;)

haha pathetic as it sounds, make sure it is a nice picture because they look at that and that is the face of your application- sad and scary at the same time.

i think it sounds good- just talk up your hotel passion, but everyone will be saying that...

:)

dande! havent seen you for awhile! =D

and to dalamjee - make sure you start on your essay early and revise often. id be more than happy to give it a read and provide you with some critiques, but its up to you.

does the application require a picture? And I'm also appyling ED. Will applying earlier help?

the application does require that you send in a head shot and applying ED will increase your chances just because it shows you are passionate, but it's not as big a factor as your work experience, essay, etc.

Does the application ask for my head shop if I am applying to Art and Science, and not hotel?

No headshot for A&S.

anymore suggestions, comments? Btw, I'm asian and female

I didn't see on the application where it asked for a headshot.

Can you let me know what you mean?

well i know when i applied last year, along with our other application materials they asked for a head shot. i'm not quite sure why, to put a name with a face i suppose, or to make sure we look professional. or maybe its just so they can continue selling the "hotelies are gorges" shirts. we do have a very handsome group of people.

i think the interview matters a lot for the hotel admissions. So prepare well for that with a resume of your experiences.

My interview was great!
