Chances for HYPS?

<p>Well, here goes nothing...</p>

<p>GPA:</p>

<p>4.0uW GPA
4.6w GPA (maxed out on AP classes offered by school)
Six AP courses, and eight honors courses in total.</p>

<p>Scores:</p>

<p>2200 SAT (750CR, 730M, 720W) [I took the SAT in January, and I've been trying to raise my score since. I'm hovering in the 2300's in practice tests)
800 - Math II
800 - USH
5's on AP Euro, APUSH, AP Calc BC, AP Psych, AP Language, and AP World History</p>

<p>EC's:</p>

<p>-Worked with a half-billion dollar corporation in their BI department, working with SQL and completing corporate reporting for two summers.
-Black belt in martial arts, around 11 years of work with five hours a week (including teaching duties).
-Led an investment/finance club for three years before it was shut down due to lack of membership.
-First chair trumpet and charter member of my school's jazz band program.
-Vice President of my school's NJCL club.
-Vice President of the engineering/robotics club.</p>

<p>Awards:</p>

<p>-National Latin Exam award, and a few karate championships. (I don't have that many awards...)</p>

<p>Essays:
-I'm still progressing on them, but I've been told by a few readers that they are pretty well-written.</p>

<p>Hooks:
-First generation college student
-URM (Central American)</p>

<p>Applying to Harvard (EA), and to Duke, UChicago, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, and MIT. (I'm still working out safeties that might be good choices, any suggestions?)</p>

<p>I'm hoping to move into a business program, since it's the career path that I believe I would like to follow.</p>

<p>Your URM and first generation statuses will help. Your grades a perfect, and your test scores are fine. The only thing I see is that your EC’s are a little sparse. I don’t know how much time you put into each one (if its a extremely significant amount and that’s why you have 5 then ignore what I say). Other than that I think you have a decent shot of getting into at least one of your reaches.</p>
