Hey star trekker! Your stats look pretty good. I’m from India too, so I can comprehend most of your achievements.

I’ve been doing some research on FA myself, and I’d suggest that look into some other sources of funds as well. Most American universities are need aware for international students, so admission itself becomes tougher. I recently applied to penn with FA, and am expecting a rejection any day now :P

I think you have a pretty good shot at all those schools. Your scores are great and your activities, (especially the business seminar thing and teaching orphaned children), and accomplishments seem pretty big. It seems that as an international you’ve done all the things around you that interest you. I’m not completely sure which ones but I think you’ll at the least get into like 3 of those schools and possibly all of them.

no i haven’t, i was thinking of because the process is so damn confusing, but then my school counselor said that she would get the things done, so my problem was solved…

Dont worry, you’ll get in somewhere great I bet

BTW, what do you think didnt work except for FA of course :(

And dont bother writing to Upenn, I bet they’ll say FA is only a small part of the equation although we know exactly how crucial a determinant FA is

So, best of luck
P.S other universities you applying to ???

I have a question: when you said “3rd sitting” next to your CR of the SAT, did you mean that you got that score on CR during your 3rd sitting or all 3 scores (math, CR, writing) during the 3rd sitting? In other words, is this 2350 from 1 sitting, or is it your superscore (ie sum of the highest math, highest CR, and highest writing–even if each is from a different sitting)? I was wondering because some colleges do not superscore, although most do.
