Chances for International Applicant with FA ?

We all know that if we apply for FA as an international applicant, it's very difficult or sometimes almost impossible to get into many universities in USA.

Is there any body heard that Stanford accepted international student who applied for FA in early or regular admissions ?
What about Caltech ?

International + FA do happen (including at Stanford and Caltech) but they are very very very very very competitive..
Do some research on this forum.. There are plethora of threads on this topic.

An acquaintance of mine is presently attending Caltech with about $38k a year in scholarship.

And yeah, he is international. And lots of internationals who need aid attend US schools.

But you have to be pretty out of this world to get aid at Stanford, I supposed....

Stanford fin aid is about 3%.. and consider the caliber of its applicants.. I read it somewhere

Okay guys, I'll give you the stats of a friend who got into stanford with almost full fin aid for the class of '11.
Gender: Female
SAT1 : 770V 800M 700W
SAT2: 800 Math2 800 Phy 800 Chem
Class Valedictorian (as in Rank 1 and class president) throughout her HS years (and probably school years as well)
A very URM in her own country
EC's One of the strongest I have ever seen

So getting into a top college like Stanford with full fin aid is very difficult. But it is 'doeable,' but judging by the standards of someone who did manage to get in, you would have to be quite outstanding.
